He also got into music through his uncle's jukebox , where he mainly listened to Bob Dylan , Bob Wills and the Marshall Tucker Band .

In addition to the weekly appearance in a nearby bar in Stephenville , he began with the band The Dead Horses to record no-budget CDs, to which the major label Lost Highway noticed and soon made him the offer for a debut album. He also played the supporting role of the accompanist Tony in the film and also composed I Don't Know and Gone, Gone, Gone for the soundtrack . The following year he released his third LP Junky Star , which included The Weary Kind as a bonus track and is still his most commercially successful today.

In mid-2012 he separated from the band and released his fourth official album Tomorrowland under the independent label Axster / Bingham Records, founded with his wife Anna Axster . In June 2013, the download single Until I'm One with You followed , which Bingham wrote for the series The Bridge - America of the US broadcaster FX and which is the title song.
