Ryan Hall (born November 27, 1987 in Leeds ) is an English rugby league player. He plays for the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League and for the English national team. With Leeds he has won the Super League Grand Final five times and the Challenge Cup twice .

Start of career

Hall initially played for the amateur club Oulton Raiders, where he was discovered by John Daly, Leeds' coach at the time. He played 8 games for the Leeds Junior Academy Team before joining the Senior Academy Team. He played 11 games and made 3 attempts, including one in the final win against Hull FC .

Professional career

Hall's Super League debut came during Leeds' controversial 42:38 win over Bradford during Magic Weekend 2007. He made his first appearance two weeks later. During the entire season he played 9 games and made 3 attempts. In the Super League Grand Final 2007, in which Leeds won 33: 6 against St Helens , he did not take part.

In 2008 he played 16 games and put 9 attempts, including one in the Super League Grand Final 2008, in which Leeds won 24:16 against St Helens.

In 2009 he became a regular part of the starting line-up and again won the Grand Final 18:10 against St Helens with Leeds. With 31 tries in 30 games, he was the player with the most tries at the end of the season. He was named Young Player of the Year and received the Rookie of the Year Award from the RLIF, the World Rugby League.

In 2010 he put 31 attempts in 33 games and was elected to the Super League Dream Team for the second year in a row . He took part with Leeds in the World Club Challenge 2010 and the Challenge Cup final, both games were lost.

With England he took part in the Four Nations 2010, but he had to be taken out of the game during the game against New Zealand due to an injury and could only play again in the last game against Papua New Guinea.

In 2011 he won the Super League Grand Final 32:16 against St Helens with Leeds and put two attempts in the Challenge Cup final against the Wigan Warriors that 28:18 went out for Wigan. With England he took part again in the Four Nations and put two attempts against Australia.

In 2012 Leeds won the World Club Challenge against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles , with Hall putting two attempts. He won the Super League again with Leeds and was named "The World's Best Winger" for his performance.

In 2013 he took part in the Rugby League World Cup with England. He put 8 tries in 5 games and was voted RLIF Team of the Year.

In 2014 he signed a new five-year contract with Leeds. He won the Challenge Cup final with Leeds against the Castleford Tigers 23:10, placing 2 attempts and winning the Lance Todd Trophy as Man of the Match . He also took part in the Four Nations again with England and was the player with the most attempts with three attempts.
