history

The first written mention of the village of Fischern took place in 1300. In the course of the pledge of the imperial city of Eger by the Roman-German King Ludwig the Bavarian to the Bohemian King John of Luxembourg in 1322, the fishermen settlement on both sides of the Eger was divided between two kingdoms ; the watermill on the left side of the river was part of the Egerers Reichspfandes, the right-hand Greek village Bayerisch Fischern remained with Bavaria.

After territorial disputes between Austria and Bavaria in the middle of the 19th century, the border was re-painted for Bohemian fishermen or Egrian fishermen or Catholic fishermen and Bavarian fishermen or Evangelical fishermen.

After the abolition of patrimonial , Fischern formed a district of the community Mühlbach in the district and judicial district of Eger from 1850 . At that time the village consisted of six houses, including a mill and an inn. The parish was Mühlbach. In 1920 fishermen became part of the newly formed community of Markhausen . The power station at the local mill supplied the small village with electricity. In 1921 there were 34 people living in the seven fishermen's houses. The Czech place name Rybáře was introduced in 1923. After the Munich Agreement , the village was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the district of Eger until 1945 . At the beginning of the 1940s, the fishermen were planning to build a Reichsautobahnbrücke over the Eger, but because of the course of the war it was never built. After the end of World War II , Fischern returned to Czechoslovakia. After 1945, a large part of the German-speaking population fled to Bavaria from wild expulsion via the Eger. The Eger Bridge was blown up shortly after 1945. Because of its close proximity to the border, Rybáře was dissolved in the course of the construction of the Iron Curtain in 1949. The municipality of Pomezná was also dissolved in 1950 and attached to Pomezí nad Ohří . In the years 1950–1951 Rybáře was razed to the ground. On July 1, 1965, the cadastre Pomezná and Rybáře, cut off by the Skalka reservoir from Pomezí nad Ohří, were assigned to the municipality of Libá.

Today there is Wiesenland on the site of the extinct village. The only thing that has been preserved is the mineral water spring at Mühlgraben. The floodplain with preserved meanders of the Röslau and Eger east of Rybáře is protected as a nature reserve Rathsam.
