history

Archaeological finds prove an early settlement of the area; In the 19th century a Neolithic stone wedge made of black pebble slate ( Buližník ) was found.

The first documentary mention of the village took place in the country table in 1392 , when Smil Flaška von Pardubitz handed over the Richenburg with the associated 62 villages to Otto von Bergow and Boček II from Podiebrad .

In 1835, the rustic village of Richnow , located in the Chrudim district , consisted of 72 houses in which 365 people lived. There was a Helvetic school, two mills and a board saw in the village . The single-layer inn on Brno's main street ( V Hatích ) - 2 houses, Porostlina ( Porostliny ) - 3 houses and the stately limestone quarry ( Vápenky ) - 1 house were consolidated in Richnow . The village was one of the wealthiest in the rule. The main sources of income were agriculture and flax trading, as well as some fruit growing in the house gardens. The five lime kilns of the limestone quarry delivered 9000 Metzen lime annually . The parish was Wüst Kamenitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, Richnow remained subject to the Richenburg rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Rychnov formed from 1849 a municipality in the judicial district of Skuch . From 1868 the community belonged to the political district Hohenmauth . In 1869 Rychnov had 493 inhabitants and consisted of 77 houses. In 1880 there were 517 people living in Rychnov, in 1910 there were 471. In the 20th century a brick and cement factory was built. In 1930 Rychnov had 401 residents. In 1949 the community was assigned to Okres Polička, since 1961 it has belonged to Okres Chrudim. On April 30, 1976, it was incorporated into Krouna. At the 2001 census, there were 208 people in Rychnov's 85 houses.
