Ernst Orlich
Ernst Orlich (first names also Ernst Max , Ernst Maximilian and Ernestus Maximilianus ; born October 1, 1868 in Potsdam , † March 4, 1935 in Berlin ) was a German physicist and university professor .
Life
Orlich became a full professor of electrical engineering at the TU Berlin on October 1, 1922 . In 1915/16 and 1919/20 he was head (dean) of Department III. for machine engineering. In 1925/26 he acted as rector, in 1926/27 as prorector of the university. From 1919 to 1931 he was head (director) of the external institute.
Orlich first read the subject of theoretical electrical engineering at the TH Berlin, his main merit in the scientific expansion in the following years.
