The Sölzertsberg , formerly also called Metzkopf or Sülzerberg , is a 351 meter high mountain in the Spessart near Freigericht in the Hessian Main-Kinzig district . It belongs to the Sölzert ridge .

geography

The Sölzertsberg lies on the boundary of the Freigerichter district of Neuses . The state border with Bavaria runs in the east and west . The south-east slopes of the mountain drop steeply to the Geiselbach in Teufelsgrund , to the west the source streams of the Wehmig arise . In the south, the Sölzertsberg goes flat towards Heidkopf (371 m). In the north, near Frohnbügel , behind the valley of the Schnellmichbach stream, the Seitenberg (328 m) joins. Located above the the northwestern foothills of Sölzertsberges Rodfeldes as a cultural monument designated burial mounds . The Franconian Marienweg led over the Sölzertsberg until 2019 .
