The SK Horácká Slavia Třebíč is a Czech ice hockey club from Třebíč . Since 1997, the club's first team has been taking part in the second-class first division .

history

The club's venue, the Mann + Hummel Arena

The club was founded on December 15, 1928 as Horácká Slavia , making it one of the oldest ice hockey clubs in the former Czechoslovakia . In 1954 the association merged with DSK Třebíč to form Spartak Třebíč , before various combines in the region gave its name to the association from 1969. In 1957 the team won qualification for the 2nd division and belonged to this division in the following years. In 1969 he was relegated to the third division, which was held regionally. In 1973 a new third division was created, the 2nd Czech State League. The club took part in this as ZMS Třebíč or as the second team from Zetor Brno until the end of the 1970s. In the following years he only took part in the regional championship before he was promoted to the 2nd state league in 1984. In 1986, however, he was relegated to the regional championship. In the early 1990s, the club, which had returned to its original name in 1990, took part again in the third division and missed promotion to the first division in 1995 and 1996. It was not until 1997 that the team, together with HC Znojmo, made it to the second division, in which it has been playing ever since. Since then, second place in the league and the playoff semi-finals twice have been achieved.
