SWR Sport has been the common name of the sports programs on SWR television since 2019 . A distinction is made between four individual shipment formats:

SWR Sport in Baden-Württemberg

SWR Sport in Baden-Wuerttemberg is the follow-up to Sport im Third . With the exception of the summer break, it is broadcast live on Sundays at 9.45 p.m. in front of a studio audience from the Baden-Württemberg State Radio in Stuttgart . The broadcast, including the sports show with the Sunday Bundesliga games, lasts 65 minutes. On weekends without games in the Bundesliga, the broadcast usually also starts at 9.45 p.m. and lasts 45 minutes, as the 20-minute sports show with the Sunday Bundesliga games is accordingly omitted. The focus of the reporting is on the first division soccer team from Baden-Württemberg. It also reports on the 2nd Bundesliga and other sports. Usually there is one, sometimes several studio guests. Michael Antwerpes , Tom Bartels , Lennert Brinkhoff and Lea Wagner alternate as moderators through the show.

SWR Sport in Rhineland-Palatinate

SWR Sport in Rhineland-Palatinate is the follow-up to Floodlight . The broadcast takes place in the same way and at the same time as SWR Sport in Baden-Württemberg, but for the SWR viewers in Rhineland-Palatinate and from the Landesfunkhaus in Mainz . The focus of the reporting is the situation at the soccer clubs 1. FSV Mainz 05 and 1. FC Kaiserslautern . The program is moderated alternately by Benjamin Wüst , Holger Wienpahl , Tom Bartels and Lea Wagner.

SWR Sport Soccer

SWR Sport Fußball is the follow-up to Sport on Saturday. During the third division season - generally from mid-July to mid-May - it is broadcast weekly on Saturdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on SWR television in Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. The 30-minute broadcast shows the game summaries of the third division games on Friday and Saturday as well as the Friday games of the 2nd Bundesliga with the participation of the clubs from Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. Part of this program also reports on the Regionalliga Südwest . The moderators of the show are Lea Wagner, Lennert Brinkhoff, Christian Döring and Benjamin Wüst.

SWR Sport Extra

SWR Sport Extra is the title of all live sports broadcasts on SWR television. This includes, above all, the live broadcasts of selected games in the 3rd division with the participation of clubs from Baden-Württemberg or Rhineland-Palatinate. In addition to soccer, other sports and events are also broadcast, such as the DTB Cup , the German Open Championships , ski jumping , horse riding and athletics .
