Sainte-Croix-Grand-Tonne is a former French commune in the department of Calvados in the region Normandy is. It belongs to the arrondissement of Caen and is part of the canton of Bretteville-l'Orgueilleuse (until 2015: member municipality in the canton of Tilly-sur-Seulles ). The community last had 301 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013).
On January 1, 2017, the municipality of Sainte-Croix-Grand-Tonne was merged with Brouay , Bretteville-l'Orgueilleuse , Cheux , Putot-en-Bessin and Le Mesnil-Patry to form the new municipality of Thue et Mue .

The municipality of Sainte-Croix-Grand-Tonne was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Coulombs in the north and northwest, Cully in the north and northeast, Secqueville-en-Bessin in the east, Bretteville-l'Orgueilleuse in the southeast, Putot-en-Bessin in the south and Southeast and Loucelles to the south and west.
The route nationale 13 runs along the southwestern edge of the municipality .
