Salim Sdiri (born October 26, 1978 in Ajaccio ) is a French athlete of Tunisian origin. At a height of 1.85 m, his competition weight is 80 kg.

Sdiri is a member of the central French club USM Athlétisme de Montargis . His personal best outdoor long jump is 8.42 m, his indoor best is 8.27 m. His best time in the 100-meter run was set in Chartres in 2008 at 10.79 seconds, his best time in the triple jump is 16.10 m from Tours in 2000 .

Success in long jump

At the French outdoor championships he won the long jump in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2009. At the French indoor championships he won in 2003, 2005 and 2006. With 8.42 m he holds the French long jump record, which he set on June 12 In 2009 at the French Championships in Pierre-Bénite . With 8.27 m he also holds the French indoor record in long jump, which he set up on January 28, 2006 in Mondeville . With that he had surpassed his own French indoor record of 8.24 m, which he had set in Liévin in 2005 .

At the European Championships in Munich in 2002 , he finished seventh, at the World Indoor Championships in 2003 in Birmingham , he was also seventh. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , he finished twelfth in the long jump competition. At the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki he was fifth, as well as at the World Athletics Finals 2005 in the Stade Louis II in Fontvieille , Monaco. In the same year he won gold medals at the Mediterranean Games in Almería and at the Jeux de la Francophonie in Niamey . The 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg he finished tenth. On Friday, July 13, 2007, Sdiri was the IAAF Golden League -Meeting in Rome by a javelin the Finn Tero Pitkämäki hit in the back.
