Salmannskirchen is a part of the municipality of Bockhorn in the district of Erding in Upper Bavaria . It is not to be confused with Salmanskirchen in the Upper Bavarian district of Mühldorf am Inn.

The place is four kilometers southwest of Bockhorn. The estrogen flows through the place.

history

The church of "Salbernkirchen", as it is called in old documents, is closely linked to the respective lords of the Salmannskirchen, who had court rights . The Salmannskirchen community was established in 1818 with the Bavarian community edict . In addition to Salmannskirchen, it included the towns and hamlets of Breitasch , Englpolding , Flanning , Gugging , Kinzlbach , Kirchasch , Kölling , Loh , Mauggen , Neukirchen , Papferding , Thal and Wiesthof . On January 1, 1972, the communities of Bockhorn, Eschlbach , Grünbach and Salmannskirchen were merged to form the new community of Bockhorn.

Architectural monuments

The Catholic branch church of St. Oswald is mentioned in the list of architectural monuments in Bockhorn . The core of the choir of the hall church is late Gothic. The church with retracted choir and spindle helmet was redesigned in a baroque style by Johann Baptist Lethner in 1751/52 .

traffic

State road 2084 runs one kilometer south. The B388 runs about one kilometer to the west. There is a public transport connection with the MVV bus lines 561 (during the day, Monday to Friday) and 562 (in the evenings and on weekends).
