Eschlbach is a district of the municipality of Bockhorn in the Erding district in Upper Bavaria . Until 1971 it formed an independent municipality.
geography
The hamlet is about 3.5 km east of the core town of Bockhorn. Two source streams of the Eschlbach arise in the forest to the east and run past the village to the south. The district road ED 27 leads through Eschlbach to the north running B 388 .
history
In 1156 the name "Eschlbach" appeared for the first time in the traditions of the Hochstift Freising .
Eschlbach was an independent municipality with the districts Ferteln , Graß , Hammerthal , Hörgersberg , Hubberg , Hundshof , Köhl , Kreut , Kreuthäusl , Maierklopfen , Oppolding , Schwabelsöd , Tankham , Übermiething and Windham and a district of about 1007 hectares . On January 1, 1972, it was incorporated into Bockhorn as part of the municipal reform.

- Catholic parish church of St. Mary's birth , a baroque hall church which in its core late Gothic is
- Bundwerkstadel of a three-sided courtyard , a single-storey saddle roof building from the end of the 18th century (Eschlbach 3)
- Former parsonage of a parsonage, a two-storey solid building, in the core from 1726 (Eschlbach 1)
Sons and daughters of the place
- Franz Paul Hoferer (1854–1939), doctor, royal Bavarian councilor and personal physician to the Wittelsbach family
- Maximilian Hoferer (1852–1935), from 1907 to 1920 director of the humanistic Franz-Ludwig-von-Erthal-Gymnasium in Lohr am Main and author of several books on German literature
