Salvador Piñeiro García-Calderón (born January 27, 1949 in Lima ) is a Peruvian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Ayacucho o Huamanga .

Life

Salvador Piñeiro García-Calderón was ordained a priest on May 6, 1973 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him military bishop of Peru on July 21, 2001 . The Archbishop of Lima , Juan Luis Cardinal Cipriani Thorne , ordained him episcopal on September 2nd of the same year; Co -consecrators were Archbishop Rino Passigato , Apostolic Nuncio in Peru, and Juan Luis Martin Buisson PME , Vicar Apostolic of Pucallpa .

On July 8, 2003, he was appointed auxiliary bishop in Lurín . He resigned from his office as auxiliary bishop in Lurín in 2006. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on August 6, 2011 Archbishop of Ayacucho o Huamanga .

On October 30, 2012 Garcia-Calderón resigned from the post of military bishop.
