Salvador Vives

Salvador Vives (born March 5, 1943 in Barcelona ; † March 28, 2020 there ) was a Spanish actor and voice actor .

Life

Salvador Vives was born in Pueblo Seco, a district of Barcelona. He attended the Institut del Teatre at the age of 15. During this time he played occasional theater. His film debut followed in 1967 with a small supporting role in the comedy La tía de Carlos en mini-falda . Vives was unable to establish himself as an actor after that. He appeared in front of the camera in only 15 film and television productions in minor supporting roles.

As a voice actor, on the other hand, he was able to establish himself for the Spanish dubbing of feature films, documentaries and commercials. He lent his voice to many Hollywood actors, including Jeremy Irons , Rupert Everett , Mark Harmon , Chris Cooper , Liam Neeson , Alec Baldwin , Michael Madsen , Jeff Bridges , Beau Bridges , Pierce Brosnan , Gabriel Byrne , Jeff Daniels , Jeff Goldblum , William H. Macy , Kyle MacLachlan , Sam Shepard and Stellan Skarsgård .

On March 28, 2020, Vives died at the age of 77 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain as a result of a SARS-CoV-2 infection.
