Planned educational institutions
In Bad Saulgau, a high school of excellence, supported by the state of Baden-Württemberg, with a focus on the MINT subjects and an affiliated boarding school, is to be built in the building of the former Japanese school.
Former educational institutions and school types
The following former educational institutions and school types existed in the Sigmaringen district:
- The Theological University of Beuron still exists in formal legal terms, but has not been teaching since 1967.
- The Japanese School Toin Gakuen existed in Bad Saulgau until 2012.
- In Sigmaringen the Archbishop's Student Home St. Fidelis was run as a Catholic boarding school for boys.
