The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is a smartphone from the South Korean manufacturer Samsung that was presented at the IFA 2014.

design

The Alpha is the first smartphone from Samsung's Galaxy series to be launched with a metal housing. The back is still made of plastic , similar to the Samsung Galaxy S5 , but the frame is made of aluminum . The trade press describes it as Samsung's direct competitor to the iPhone 6 .

technology

The computing power is with max. 1.3 GHz of the four Cortex-A7 cores, as well as with max. 1.8 GHz of the four Cortex-A15 cores in the Octa Core processor, Exynos 5430 , made by Samsung . The main memory is 2 GB, the internal memory is 32 GB. Android version 4.4.4 is used as the operating system. As with its predecessors, Samsung has placed its own Samsung TouchWiz UI over the operating system.

screen

The Super Amoled display is 4.7 inches in size and has a resolution of 1,280 × 720 px (HD). It can display 16 million colors.

The screen's pixel density is 313 ppi .

Main camera

The main camera has a resolution of 12 megapixels, but is not optically stabilized.

Videos can be recorded in Ultra High Definition with 4K resolution at 30 frames per second and Full HD (1080p) at 60 frames per second.
