Sandra Navidi (born September 1, 1972 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German lawyer , author , founder and CEO of BeyondGlobal LLC . Navidi has been a financial expert for n-tv since 2009 .

Career

Navidi grew up in Mönchengladbach as the daughter of a German mother and an Iranian father. Her father ran a medium-sized company. After graduating from high school on Gartenstrasse, she studied law at the University of Cologne , the Fordham University School of Law and the University of Paris IV . She studied abroad a. a. at the Universiteit Leiden , the University of California in Berkeley , California and the University of Arizona in Tucson , Arizona . She also passed the specialist lawyer course for tax law and the securities trading exam at the US regulatory authority FINRA (NASD).

She began her career at the auditing company Deloitte Germany , where she was a manager in the department for international capital markets. In 2001 she moved to New York , where she became chief legal counsel at the asset manager Muzinich & Company . She then worked as an investment banker at Scarsdale Equities . She then joined the advisory board of the economist Nouriel Roubini , professor of economics and international business administration and co-founder and president of Roubini Global Economics .

Since 2011, Navidi has been offering business and strategy consulting for the New York-based company BeyondGlobal, LLC, which she founded. She is associated as Of Counsel with the international law firm Urban Thier & Federer.

Navidi is a licensed attorney in New York State and Germany.

Media presence

In 2006, she starred in the first season of the documentary Wall Street Warriors . In 2018, n-tv published her three-part report series Wie tickt Amerika? broadcast. At the end of May 2019, her weekly column on financial and economic topics started in the Bild newspaper . In addition, it can be seen in the documentation 10 years of financial crisis of the WDR .
