Sant Joan Despí is a Catalan city in the province of Barcelona in northeastern Spain . It is located in the Comarca Baix Llobregat and belongs to the metropolitan area Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona .
Culture and sights
In the village there are a number of interesting modernist buildings, including the Catalan architect Josep Maria Jujol (1879-1949), who was a student of Antoni Gaudí . Particularly noteworthy are the former town hall, which today houses the Center Jujol , and an interesting dome structure near the train station.
In addition, there is also the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper , the sports center of FC Barcelona .
