Santiago Sierra (born August 8, 1987 ) is a Mexican ice hockey player who has played again for Pumas Distrito Federal in Mexico since 2016 .

Career

Santiago Sierra began his career as a hockey player with Galerias Reforma. In 2011 he moved to the semi-professional Liga Mexicana Elite for the Aztec Eagle Warriors . From 2013 to 2015 he played for the Pumas Distrito Federal . He then moved to Europe, where he played in the third-class French Division 2 with the Français Volants from Paris . He returned to Mexico in 2016 and has since played again for Pumas Distrito Federal.

International

In the junior division, Sierra stood for the Mexican U18 selection at the 2004 World Championships in Division III and 2005 in Division II as well as with the U20 selection at the World Championships in Division III in 2004 and 2005 , when he was the best goal setter of the tournament, as well as the Division II on the ice in 2006 and 2007 .

With the men's national team , Sierra participated in the Division II World Championships in 2006 , 2007 , 2010 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2017 , when he was voted the best player of his team, and in 2018 and Division III in 2005 . He was also on the ice at the 2014 Pan-American ice hockey tournament, in which he and his team took second place.
