Sarah Baker (* in Washington, DC ) is an American actress . She is best known for her roles in the film Die Qual der Wahl (2012) and in the series Go On (2012–2013).

Life

Sarah Baker was born in Washington, DC and raised in Springfield , Illinois . After graduating from James Madison University with two majors in Theater and English, she moved to Atlanta , Georgia . There she worked at the Whole World Improv Theater, initially as an actress, later as a teacher. To improve her improvisation and sketch comedy skills, she attended the improvisation and theater school The Groundlings in Los Angeles .

Her debut she gave 2002 as Dix in the film comedy Sweet Home Alabama - Raising Helen before 2005 in Sketch - Comedy -Show The Lance Krall Show took on various roles. She had her first leading role from 2008 to 2009 in the VH1 series Free Radio , where she was seen for the second time alongside Lance Krall . She subsequently made mostly guest appearances on television series , including In the Motherhood (2009), Das Büro (2010), Bones (2011) and Modern Family (2012). Her breakthrough came in 2012 when she played Galifianakis' wife Mitzi Huggins in the comedy The Agony of Choice alongside Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell . From autumn 2012 she portrayed the role of Sonia in the NBC comedy series Go On alongside Matthew Perry . Her role was initially created as a supporting role, but was expanded to a leading role after the 13th episode. However, the series was discontinued in May 2013 after only one season and 22 episodes. Over the summer of 2013, she starred alongside Reese Witherspoon and Corey Stoll in the drama The Good Lie , which premiered in 2014.
