Sarah Clarke (born February 16, 1972 in St. Louis , Missouri ) is an American actress .

Life

Clarke studied Italian and Art at Indiana University. After graduating, she worked as an architecture photographer, in a law firm and as a furniture seller. She also took classes at New York's Circle in the Square drama school . For her film debut, the short film Pas de deux ( 2000 ), she was honored with a prize for outstanding performance at the Brooklyn Film Festival .

Her breakthrough came with the role of Nina Myers in the action series 24 , for which she received a Golden Satellite Award for best supporting actress and a nomination for the Screen Actors Guild Award with the cast of 24 for the first season. In the second and third seasons she was also there as a guest role. She also starred in 2003 in Thirteen alongside Nikki Reed and Vanessa Hudgens .

In 2005 she was in an episode of Dr. House , in 2006 she had a guest role in the final episode of Welcome, Mrs. President and in the comedy The Lather Effect . In Twilight - Bite to Dawn (2008), Eclipse - Bite to Dawn (2010) and Breaking Dawn - Bite to the End of the Night, Part 1 she played the role of Renée Dwyer, Bella's mother. From January to April 2009 she appeared in the TV series Trust Me on TNT . From 2013 to 2014 she took on a role in the series The Tomorrow People . From 2015 to 2018 she played the ex-wife of the eponymous character in the Amazon crime series Bosch .

She has been married to fellow actor Xander Berkeley since September 2002 , whom she met on the set of 24 . Both have two daughters (* 2006, * 2010).
