Sasserath is located in the southern district of Mönchengladbach. Rheydt, the capital of the borough, is around 5.1 kilometers as the crow flies to the north. Sasserath is a street village on the B 59 that runs from Odenkirchen to Jüchen . The place has a north-south or east-west extension of around 700 meters each.
