Schöbendorf is a district of the town of Baruth / Mark in the Teltow-Fläming district in Brandenburg , Germany.
geography
Schöbendorf, located on the western edge of the Baruther glacial valley , is around 40 kilometers from the southern border of the city of Berlin and around three kilometers west of neighboring Paplitz . Other neighboring towns and districts of Baruth are (clockwise, starting from the north) Horstwalde , Mückendorf , Kemlitz and Merzdorf and Lynow (part of the community of Nuthe-Urstromtal ). Schöbendorf is located on the L73 state road between Luckenwalde and Baruth, which runs in an east-west direction .
history
Schöbendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1422 as Schebendorff . It may be that the name of the village comes from the word Schober, as Schöbendorf was also named as the village of the haystacks according to the chronicle .
On December 31, 2001, Schöbendorf was incorporated into the city of Baruth together with Dornswalde, Klasdorf , Paplitz and Petkus .
Culture and sights
- In the Horstmühle residential area there is a two-story half - timbered building from the 18th century. It belonged to a mill that no longer exists in the 21st century. On the site there is also an outbuilding from around 1900 as well as a former ice cellar, which is now used as quarters for bats .
