The area of Schömberger Stausee with Palmbühl is a landscape protection area in the area of the town of Schömberg in the Zollernalb district that was designated by the Balingen District Office on May 28, 1965 .
location
The landscape protection area Schömberger Stausee with Palmbühl borders immediately to the east of the city area. The area belongs mostly to the natural environment southwestern Albvorland .
Landscape character
The protected area includes the Schischemtalsperre with the Schömberger reservoir, the most important local recreation area for the city of Schömberg, and the Palmbühl . Most of the bank of the 10.4 hectare reservoir has been developed for recreational use. At the Palmbühl there are meadows and orchards on the southwest slope, the rest of the area is forested. The tracks of the Zollernalbbahn run through the area .
