The landscape parts of the Roßwangen marking is a landscape protection area in the area of the city of Balingen in the Zollernalb district, which was designated by the Balingen District Office on March 2, 1966 by ordinance .

location

The conservation area covers the entire district Roßwangen south of the provincial road 442. The area belongs mostly to the natural environment southwestern Albvorland and to a lesser extent to the natural area High Schwabenalb .

Landscape character

The area extends from the state road 442 to the slopes of the Balinger Mountains and includes the species-rich lowland hay meadows around the village of Roßwangen and the wooded slopes of Plettenberg and Schafberg , as far as they belong to the Roßwangen district. The built-up areas and areas that are designated for development by a development plan do not belong to the protected area.

Contiguous protected areas

The Großer Heuberg nature reserve borders in the south . The forest areas at Plettenberg and Schafberg in the south of the area are in the bird sanctuary Südwestalb and Upper Danube Valley .
