Schönau is a residential area of Graepel in the Lower Saxon community of Estorf ( district of Stade ).

Geography and transport links

Schönau lies on the edge of a Geestsporn on the Oste between Brobergen in the northeast and Graepel in the south. To the southeast, Estorf borders on Schönau and to the west on the other bank of the Oste Ostendorf .

A side street of Kreisstraße 82 runs through the village , which leads in the northeast via Brobergen, Kranenburg and Blumenthal to Burweg to federal highway 73 . In the south-west, district road 82 leads via Graepel to state road 114.

history

Administrative history

Schönau has belonged to the Gräpel community since it was founded.

Before 1885 Schönau belonged to the Börde Oldendorf in the office of Himmelpforten , after 1885 to the district of Stade and since 1932 to the current district of Stade . On July 1, 1972, the municipalities of Estorf, Graepel (with Schönau) and Behrste were merged to form the new municipality of Estorf as part of the regional reform .

religion

Estorf is evangelical-Lutheran and belongs to the parish of the Martinskirche in Oldendorf.

For the (few) Catholics as St. Michael Church in Bremervörde responsible, since 1 September 2010 on the parish of the Holy Spirit in Stade belongs.
