Schaltberg is a village and a cadastral municipality in the Neustadtl an der Donau municipality in the Amstetten district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were 59 building areas in Schaltberg with a total of 23,972 m² and 46 gardens on 120,471 m², in 1989/1990 58 building areas were counted. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 115, with 70 buildings in existence. In 2009/2010 there were 76 buildings on 116 construction areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 312 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 248 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 285 hectares and 277 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 275 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 275 hectares. The average soil climate of Schaltberg is 26.6 (as of 2010).
