Schellhof is a district of the Absberg market in the Weissenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia .

The wasteland is in the Franconian Lake District , one kilometer east of Absberg. To the south is the Kleine Brombachsee , not far to the northeast is the elongated Igelsbachsee . A local road connects Schellhof with Absberg and the district road WUG 1 . To the east runs the municipality border to the city of Spalt in the district of Roth . The next larger towns next to Absberg are Gunzenhausen and Spalt.

Schellhof belonged to Absberg even before the Bavarian regional reform of 1972. In 1846 two houses, two families and nine residents are recorded there. In 1871 13 people lived in four buildings in the village, the cattle census in 1873 determined four horses and 16 cattle.

Ecclesiastically, the place belongs to the Evangelical Christ Church in Absberg in the Evangelical Lutheran deanery Gunzenhausen and to the Catholic parish of St. Ottilia in Absberg in the deanery Weißenburg-Wemding in the diocese of Eichstätt .
