action

The teenagers Laser, Checo, Dannie, Blocker, Lana, Mary and Pia throw a party with sex, drugs and music in a mall for one night.

However, this is protected by a corrupt guard society. When they noticed the uninvited guests, Mark "Pops" Popp quickly had the idea of stealing the 2.5 million marks in the safe with his colleague Michi Holzner and holding the burglars responsible for it. The colleague Mona Wendt also makes an appearance.

The chase between the revelers and the guards escalates when Lana balances on the roof of the shopping center in ecstasy and Pia tries to take her away from there. Mona pursues the young people on the roof, Pia is startled by appearing, falls down and dies. Although Dannie and Mary saw it all, they support Lana's opinion that Mona pushed Pia off the roof. She incites Laser and the others into an act of revenge, and a war breaks out between the youth and the guards.

When Laser, Checko and Blocker enter the roof, Mona flees because she does not want to fire at the young people. When the third security guard, who was shot by Checo, realizes Pops' motives, he tries to get help and gets caught in a crossfire between the security guards Pops and Michi and the young people. When he calls the youth blocker for help and explains his point of view, he is shot at from both sides. Pops' attempts to kill him are foiled by Mona. Pops only succeeds in killing him on the second attempt.

In the following, Mona tries to help the young people. Mona Laser saves the life during a battle, but is soon overpowered and tied up by Blocker, Dannie and Mary. During an exchange of fire, Blocker, who happened to run into Pops' line of fire, is shot. Mona is now made a sham process in which only laser tries to protect her, because he has recognized that Mona is on her side. The sentence is still punishable by the death because Laser cannot convince the others. Despite the verdict, the young people try to blackmail Pops and demand half of the 2.5 million marks in exchange for Mona. Pops and Michi now go to the group to kill them. During a brief firefight, Laser manages to escape with Mona. Now Checko, who is now out for the money to create a new existence, is negotiating with Pops. As Laser and Mona flee, Pops and Michi shoot them at them and flee into a security service jeep. However, they decide in time to turn around before Pops blows up the jeep. Mona and Laser survive and visit the group again to save them from Pops. Mary tries, dismayed by Blocker's death, to take revenge on Pops. However, she is overwhelmed by a deception by Pops and Michi. When Pops threatens to shoot her, Michi tries to stop him and is shot by Pops. Mary can still shoot Pops, but is also fatally hit and dies when the rest of the group arrives. Now Pops and Checko are after the money and the others. The young people are locked in a cold store with Mona. Mona manages to fight through to Pops and Checko, which are already fighting. In a showdown, Pops rushes through a hatch into the refrigerator. Mona showered him with the money. Meanwhile, Checko frees the others from the cold room to keep them from freezing to death. When Checko tries to shoot Pops, Laser holds him back and only sets fire to the pile of banknotes that lies next to Pops.

Reviews

“Unsuccessful attempt to mix set pieces from American action cinema with the problems of German youth. Dramaturgically little thought out, the film stages its alleged criticism of a society that has become violent due to the loss of values as (video game) blasting fun, whereby it cares as little about the characters of the characters as it does about the leadership of the actors and for its 'message' only finds flat images that are useful in themselves. "
