The Schlebuscher Weg is a circular hiking trail in the area of Wetter -Grundschöttel and Gevelsberg - Silschede , which connects various historical mining sites from the early days of coal mining in the Ruhr area . The oldest mine along the way, the Fredholder Bank colliery , dates from 1560.

The 8.5 km long circular hiking trail was created by the Wetter / Herdecke working group of the Förderverein Bergbauhistorischer Ststätten Ruhrrevier eV and was named after the mining area in the Schlebusch valley basin. The symbol of mining, mallets and iron , in a circle on a red background was used as a signpost . The starting point is on federal highway 234 in the center of Grundschöttel.

The Schlebuscher Weg is one of four mining trails in Wetter.
