description
The 7.4 km long circular hiking trail (plus possible detours) was created by the Förderverein Bergbauhistorischer Stätten Ruhrrevier e. V. in cooperation with the Heimat- und Geschichtsverein Sprockhövel e. V. and named after the largest colliery in Haßlinghausen, the colliery Germany , founded in 1871 . The symbol of mining, mallets and irons , were used as signposts . The starting point is on federal highway 51 at the entrance to Hiddinghausen.
The Germany Mining Hiking Trail is combined thematically with four other mining hiking trails to form the coal trail . It is also part of the Route of Industrial Culture .
