Tann (Rhön)

Schlitzenhausen is a district of the municipality of Tann (Rhön) in the eastern Hessian district of Fulda .

Geographical location

The place is located north of the core town of Tann in the immediate vicinity of the Günthers district and has about 300 inhabitants. Schlitzenhausen still has its own small, outsourced district: Sinszüge .

The district can be reached via the B 278 .

history

On August 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the city of Tann by means of state law as part of the regional reform in Hesse .

Schlitzenhausen has been Protestant since the introduction of the Reformation by Imperial Knight Eberhard von der Tann in the 1530s.

Economy and Infrastructure

Schlitzenhausen is largely characterized by agriculture. The most important facilities include a Protestant kindergarten, the rainbow elementary school, the village community center, a restaurant and the Schlitzenhausen volunteer fire department
