Neuschwambach is a district of Tann (Rhön) in the eastern Hessian district of Fulda . The hamlets of Altschwambach , Aura , Oberrückersbach and Unterrückersbach belong to Neuschwambach .

Neuschwambach is located in the northeast of the Fulda district, between the Eckweisbacher and Bernhardser Kuppe, north of Hilders, in the Hessian Rhön Nature Park , in the Rhön Biosphere Reserve .

Waters

The Rückersbach flows through the hamlets of Ober- and Unterrückersbach and flows into the Ulster .

history

The Swanbach desert was first mentioned in a document in 1362, when the von Bimbach sold part of the Swanbach desert to the von Ebersberg family . The next mention comes in 1364 when they sold their village Swanbach to the von der Tann .

On August 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the city of Tann by means of state law as part of the regional reform in Hesse .

Infrastructure

The place can be reached via the federal road 278 and the K50.

The Ulstertal Cycle Path runs through the village. It connects the Werra valley with the Hessian Rhön.
