Cluzel Castle

The Cluzel Castle (French: Château de Cluzel ) in the former Saint Eblé today Mazeyrat-d'Allier , in the Haute-Loire of the region Auvergne is a former medieval castle of the 13th century.

The complex was built by Guilhem de Cluzel and remained in the property of his descendants for over 400 years. It was renovated and rebuilt several times in the 16th and 18th centuries, and in the 17th century it came to the La Rochefoucauld family through marriage . She sold the castle in 1730 to Guillaume-Antoine de Bouillé, the later Marquis de Bouillé and father of François-Claude-Amour de Bouillé .

In the 19th century, the castle was restored and stands today as Inscrit Monument historique (German: registered historic monument) under monument protection . It is one of the local attractions with a large 18th century French garden that is also listed.
