The Ohrada hunting lodge ( Wohrad in German ) is located in the municipality of Hluboká nad Vltavou in the Okres České Budějovice in the Czech Republic , on the south bank of the Munický rybník fish pond , one kilometer southeast of Hluboká nad Vltavou.
history
The hunting lodge was built in the years 1708–1713 based on a design by the Prague builder Paul Ignaz Bayer for Prince Adam Franz Schwarzenberg , who used it for representative purposes such as events and game hunts. In 1961 the castle was taken over by the Prague Agricultural Museum, which set up a forestry and fishing museum there.
description
The portal and chimneys were made by the Prague stonemason Jan Oldřich Manes.
The Ohrada Zoological Garden and the Vondrov Farm are located next to the castle.
