Work on the first houses began in the year the colony was founded under the direction of the Royal Forest Inspector Burich. In 1774/75 20 colonists were settled, nine of whom came from the Duchy of Jägerndorf , four from Bohemia , two from Moravia and one from Nuremberg . The construction work on the barns was only finished in 1778.
