history

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Kąty Opolskie . In 1950 the place became part of the Opole Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Opolski. On February 15, 2007, German was introduced as the second official language in the municipality. On April 14, 2008, the place received the additional official German place name Konty .
