Schwebelbach near the Schleissheim regatta course |
The Schwebelbach is an approximately 8.5 km long right tributary of the Amper in Upper Bavaria .
course
The Schwebelbach is diverted from the Würm Canal shortly before the confluence of the Feldmochinger Mühlbach and flows north. It runs immediately to the east of the Regattaparksee and crosses the municipal boundary between the state capital Munich and the municipality of Oberschleißheim . After about 2.5 km, near the Schleissheim regatta course , it crosses the Dachau-Schleissheim Canal , from which it absorbs more water.
About 1.6 km further north the Gänsgraben flows from the southeast, whose water was diverted from the Dachau-Schleissheim Canal on the western outskirts of Oberschleißheim. The Schwebelbach, which used to be a natural drainage of the Dachau Moos , is now largely integrated into the north Munich canal system. It flows into the Amper near Ottershausen ( Haimhausen municipality ) .
