Swiss Film Award 2021
The 24th Swiss Film Awards ceremony took place on March 26, 2021. The award went to Films of the Year 2020 . Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the nominations were announced digitally by Big Zis as part of the online Solothurn Film Festival. The film Little Sister received the most nominations in six categories , followed by Platzspitzbaby with five nominations.
A total of 120 films were admitted to the Swiss Film Prize 2021; the films were viewed and judged by around 450 members of the Swiss Film Academy. The Best Actor category will not be awarded . The Federal Department of Home Affairs selected a five-person commission from the members of the Swiss Film Academy, who made the nominations based on the recommendations of the academy members. The jury president was Ivo Kummer, the nomination committee consisted of academy members Filippo Demarchi, Aline Schmid, Anita Hugi, Katrin Renz and Vincent Adatte.
