Scott Waites (born February 17, 1977 in Bradford , England ) is an English darts player . His nickname is "Scotty 2 Hotty".

Career

In 2013 he became world champion at the British Darts Organization (BDO) by defeating the Englishman Tony O'Shea 7: 1 in the final. He is also the first and so far only BDO player who was able to win a major tournament with the competing darts association of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). He succeeded in doing this at the 2010 Grand Slam of Darts . In the final, he beat the Englishman James Wade 16:12. In 2016 Scott Waites was again BDO world darts champion with a 7-1 final victory over the Canadian Jeffrey Smith.

At the UK Q-School 2020 Waites managed to earn a Tour Card for the next 2 years. He then switched to PDC.
