Seban Dönhuber

Seban Dönhuber (born January 14, 1934 in Neuötting ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

biography

Dönhuber attended elementary and vocational school in Neuötting and then did an apprenticeship as a typesetter and newspaper miner , which he then practiced in the training company.

In the IG chemicals, paper and ceramics , he worked as youth secretary, the DGB in the districts Mühldorf and Altötting he was executive chairman. He was also active in youth work for fifteen years, including Catholic youth and trade union youth . He became a member of the SPD and first worked with the Young Socialists . From 1961 to 1964 he was state chairman of the Bavarian Young Socialists. Later he was also state chairman of the workers' welfare from 1989 to 2004 .

In March 1960 Dönhuber joined the Neuötting city council and the district council in Altötting. In 1964 he became second mayor of Neuötting, and from 1966 to 1970 he was first mayor there. From 1962 to 1966 he was a member of the Upper Bavaria District Assembly and during this time chairman of the AOK Mühldorf-Altötting representative assembly and a member of the administrative committee at the Pfarrkirchen employment office .

From 1966 to 1970 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

On January 11, 1970, he was elected Altöttinger District Administrator for the first time. This triggered a lot of media coverage, as a social democrat made it into the district office in traditionally very conservative Bavaria. Dönhuber held this office until his retirement in 2000.

From 1990 until its dissolution in 1999 he was also a member of the Bavarian Senate for the group of charities.
