Sebastian Achamer

Sebastian Achamer (born January 18, 1623 in Hall / Tyrol ; † July 5, 1694 there ) was an Austrian organ builder .

Life

From 1640 to 1646 he learned the organ trade from the organ builder Nikolaus Harter. After completing his apprenticeship, he worked as a journeyman in this workshop . Harter, who hardly created any works himself, died in 1654, and Achamer married his widow and continued the organ workshop. He spent the end of his life in poverty. In 1687 he was no longer entrusted with building the organ in the parish church in Hall.
