Sebastian Scheid cuts his objects out of the clay block. Scheid calls the resulting scarce stereometric forms vases and boxes. In this way, sculptures are actually created that not only appear on their own, but also decorated with flowers, for example. Under the layers of layers on top of each other that break at inwardly sloping edges, the shape tapers to form a solid base. The structure of the outside results from the processing with the cutting wire, the naturalness of the surfaces is preserved by the sparingly used glazes. In contrast, the inner walls are smoothed and covered with a covering glaze and appear silky and precious. Scheid chooses restrained colors for his glazes, they look so unobtrusive and don't call for attention.
