The Seebach is a nearly twelve kilometer long left tributary of the Main in the Lower Franconian district of Haßberge .

The Seebach rises in the Iphofen-Gerolzhofener Steigerwaldvorland southeast of the Knetzgau district of Hainert at an altitude of 253  m above sea level. NN in a field next to the from West Home according Wonfurt leading HAS 12 .

It initially flows about 350 meters in a north-westerly direction through an agricultural zone and then reaches the southern edge of Hainert. It forms a small pond south of St. Joseph of the Bridegroom Church and then disappears briefly into the ground, reappears after almost 100 m on the surface and then runs along the eastern edge of the village.

He is now leaving the village and continues to move northwest through farmland. At a small sewage treatment plant , it changes its direction to the north and then crosses under the E 48 . It now flows almost half a kilometer along the eastern edge of a small deciduous forest and is then on its right side at an altitude of 229  m above sea level. NN fed by the small Erlwiesenbach coming from the east-northeast . The Seebach now runs in an almost westerly direction south of the vineyard along the northern edge of the small deciduous forest, reaches the eastern edge of Wonfurt and takes on the Ebertsgraben on its left .

The Seebach now runs in a west-north-westerly direction along the northeastern edge of the village, then crosses the St 2275 . At Maingasse , only about 200 m from the Main, it then curves and then flows in a south-westerly direction through fields. It now passes a small pond and then joins its largest tributary, the Schwappach , which is approaching from the south . With a length of a good ten kilometers, this is twice as long as the Seebach from its source to there.

The Seebach then runs along the southern bank of the Horhauser See , into whose western basin it flows. About 200 m later it leaves the lake again and then crosses the St 2426 . Almost four hundred meters down the stream, it is reinforced on its left by the steam compartment coming from the south .

The Seebach now flows north of the small village of Horhausen , which belongs to the municipality of Theres, past the stone mill and then joins the Pfaffbach from the left north of the Wilder See . The Seebach then moves in a north-westerly direction through fields and meadows and approaches the Main up to 50 m.

He now flows parallel to the main westward and eventually flows south of a small power plant in the Old Main , which in turn shortly after the south Gädheimer local part Ottendorf opens into the Main.
