The White Rain is the right and northeastern source river of the Regen in the district of Cham in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .
geography
course
The White Rain rises as a Seebach from the Kleiner Arbersee on the Großer Arber (1456 m), the highest mountain in the Bavarian Forest . The sources of the small tributaries of the lake are located in the nature reserve Kleiner Arbersee on the "Arberhangs" and the "Kleine Seewand" between Großes and Kleiner Arber (1384 m).
The Seebach leaves the lake in a northerly direction and after the confluence of the "Ebenbach" near Sommerau the brook is called the White Rain. It flows through the Lamer Winkel to the northwest via Lohberg and Lam . From there, the Cham – Lam railway follows the river and the White Rain runs via Arrach and Hohenwarth to Grafenwiesen . There it bends in a south-westerly direction and flows to Bad Kötzting . At Pulling it unites as a shorter (38 km) and less watery (4.5 m³ / s) source river with the black rain (84 km, 20.7 m³ / s) to rain .
