The Luftwaffe's naval combat badge was donated on November 27, 1944 by the Air Force Commander in Chief Hermann Göring .

It was awarded to the seafaring personnel of sea rescue vehicles, air traffic control, supply and other special ships of the Air Force as a token of recognition for probation in action.

Appearance

The oval badge shows in the center the front view of a ship with rigging and smoking chimney. It is enclosed by a wreath made of oak leaves . In the upper part of the wreath is the national badge of the Luftwaffe, an eagle flying to the right with the swastika in its claws.

The award was worn as a pin badge on the left chest.

Others

According to the law on titles, medals and decorations of July 26, 1957, wearing the version of the Third Reich in the Federal Republic of Germany is only permitted without National Socialist emblems.
