Senate Medal for Art and Science of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen
The Senate Medal for Art and Science of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen has been awarded since 1938 and again since 1952 for outstanding achievements in the cultural field by the Senate of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen , represented by the respective Senator for Culture. It is not a Bremen custom to give or wear medals. In Bremen, however, there were and are various medals of honor.
