Sergei Vasilyevich Arsenyev ( Russian : Сергей Васильевич Арсеньев * 1. April 1854 in Moscow , † 1922 in Moscow) was one of the Russian-Baltic nobility derived Diplomat of the Empire Russia and founding member of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society .

Career

Arsenyev passed his Abitur at the 1st Moscow High School, which he attended from 1868 to 1872. He then studied at the Tsar Nikolaus Lyzeum (college) and studied in a university course in 1877 with the completion of a law exam . From 1877 to 1878 he completed his military service in the Preobrazhensk body guard regiment . From there he got a job in the commission for the acceptance of petitions and studied in 1880 at the Archaeological Institute in Saint Petersburg , he completed his diploma with the award of a silver medal. In the following years he was in 1881 to the pin officials (a court office), 1891 to the State Council , 1893 to chamberlain and 1902 for Real State Council appointed. In 1882 he was a founding member of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society. In 1896, as chamberlain, he was an active member of the celebrations for the official coronation of Tsar Nicholas II (1868–1918). From November 1919 he worked in the Rumyanzew Museum in Moscow, where he worked as an assistant to the head of the Slavic Studies department. He worked on archaeological topics and wrote several articles in the field. On January 2, 1920, he was arrested with his wife and daughter Vera and released on February 26, 1920.

• Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Montenegro (1910–1912) and
• at the court of the King of Norway (1912–1914).

Origin and family

SV Arsenjew was the son of the Real Secret Councilor Vasily Sergejewitsch Arsenjew (1829-1915) and Countess Natalia Yuriewska Dolgorukov (1830-1902). The ancestors of the Arsenjews came from Russia and came from Nikolai Ivanovich Arsenjew (1760-1830), who was the Russian governor of Courland . His brothers were Yuri Wassiljewitsch Arsnjew (1857-1919) and Ivan Vasiljewitsch Arsenjew (1862-1930). He was married to Catherine Vasilyevna Shenshina (1858-1938). Your children were:
