Shawn McCosh (born June 5, 1969 in Oshawa , Ontario ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who played in the NHL for the Los Angeles Kings and New York Rangers and in the DEL for the Adler Mannheim .

Player career

The 1.83 m tall center began his career with various teams in the Canadian Junior League OHL , before he was selected ( drafted ) in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft as 95th in the fifth round of the Detroit Red Wings .

However, the right-handed shooter did his first NHL appearances after he switched to the Los Angeles Kings, but here, too, McCosh did not manage to become a regular player, so that he was still on the ice for various farm teams in the AHL and IHL . He also played for the New York Rangers in the 1994/95 season only five times in the highest North American ice hockey league , most of the time he spent with the Binghamton Rangers in the AHL. In 1999 the Canadian moved to the Adler Mannheim in the DEL, where he ended his active career after one season.
