Sidarowo (also written Zidarovo , Bulgarian Зидарово ) is a Bulgarian village in the municipality of Sozopol , Burgas Province . The village is in the midst of the Strandscha Mountains, approx. 50 km west of the Sozopol community center and approx. 20 km southwest of the city of Burgas . The closest place is the village of Isvor, about 10 km away . There is no direct road connection to the Sozopol community center. The Fakijska river flows through the village and flows into Mandra Lake .

According to legend, the village was founded by resettlers from the village of Chernomorets in the 17th century. It is assumed that this resettlement is related to the pirate attacks during this time (→ see Ottoman rule in Sozopol ). In 1913, several families of Bulgarian refugees from the Balkan Wars of 1912/13 from Eastern and Western Thrace ( Thracian Bulgarians ), mainly from the area around Kırklareli and Pınarhisar , settled in the village. Some of the quickly built, simple accommodations (the so-called Sharon houses ) have been preserved in the village to this day. Until 1934 the village was called Djulgerli (Bulgarian Дюлгерли).
